Orange Corners Cairo Cycle 3 Finale event

Cairo, July 31, 2022 - Orange Corners Cairo program celebrated the graduation of 14 disruptive startups in its third cycle. The event was held at a Steigenberger Tahrir hotel in the presence of Han-Maurits Schaapveld, the Dutch Ambassador to Egypt, and representatives from the Ministry of International Cooperation. After 6 months of continuous hard work, dedication, and completion of the various stages of the incubation program, the startups were ready to pitch their business ideas to industry experts, investors, and business professionals. The event featured 14 startups; Leaxon, Hopper EG, Poseidon Projects, IKNOWLEGY, Skip, Inclusive Cash, Gooan, Folklore, SPActacular, Magic Gift Shop, Abofasada, Businessita, Marlina for Handmade, and Ana Mehani.

The event started with a welcoming note speech by Hesham Wahby, Cultiv’s CEO, an opening speech by Han-Maurits Schaapveld, the Dutch Ambassador. Moreover, a speech by Sherihan Bekhit, assistant minister and supervisor of the Cooperation Sector and Tamer Taha, advisor to the Minister of International Cooperation. That is followed by a speech from our mentor Mohamed Hisham, lead GTM Product in Development Link, and an inspirational talk from Aliaa Alaa, Founder of Woosh Club and one of Orange Corners Cairo Alumni. The agenda included startup pitches, a light networking dinner, and a tour of the startups' booths showcasing their products.

Orange Corners Cairo is an initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherland, runs under the auspices of the ministry of international cooperation, and is managed by Cultiv. The program supports the fields of agriculture, agritech, clean-tech, handicrafts, and other creative industries, while dedicating 50% of the seats to female entrepreneurs and accepting young entrepreneurs aged between 18-35 years. The program aims to provide access to one-on-one mentorship and intensive training sessions to startups by mentors, experts in the eco-system, and potential investors.
